Smart toilet - Flush

We flush the data in the toilet every day. One of our customers noticed that the data we cleared could be used to generate meaningful health data trends and medical diagnostics. They saw an opportunity to develop a "smart toilet" product embedded with sensors and electronics to collect customer health data in real time. In the medical field, the Internet of things (IOT) is a big business with unlimited application possibilities.

Scalable smart toilet systems need to provide users with meaningful health data, including blood pressure, electrocardiogram, heart rate, body weight, body fat, urine flow rate, fecal volume and volatile organic compounds (VOC) analysis. In addition, these health indicators need to be provided through mobile applications to allow users to track and trend their (or patient's) overall health over time. The overall goal is to achieve active health monitoring. The number of users is expected to reach millions in just a few years.

Solution

By leveraging our expertise in cloud / IOT software and data anonymity, norima is accelerating medic's innovative smart toilet project. We are helping Medic.Life Design, develop and test the cloud based server architecture of smart toy system. As the project moves from development to installation, our work includes requirements collection and documentation, technology selection, system architecture, source code writing, and documentation and reporting.

We use mature and well-defined software development practices, our high-quality, tested and documented source code through rigorous procedures to meet HIPAA and FDA standards. In addition, we have a wealth of experience - we understand the challenges involved, and we design and develop code and software for embedded development.

The project involves the configuration and management of many scalable microservices to meet the performance, scalability and data security requirements. It also involves integrating and adapting mature technologies for the Internet of things. Smart toilets connect to cloud based systems to store and process customer data securely. Health trends and alerts are provided to customers through mobile applications and provide similar information to authorized healthcare professionals and insurance providers.
